Hi, I'm Arda.

I like building things from the ground up, from embedded devices to high-performance networking software.

About

I'm an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Bahçeşehir University, graduating in 2027. Most of my work sits somewhere between low-level software, computer networks, and hardware.

I'm particularly interested in asynchronous I/O, C++, wireless communications, and building practical systems without unnecessary complexity. I enjoy understanding how things work, then implementing them myself.

Selected projects

eventloop

A C++23 asynchronous networking library built around coroutines and OS-level I/O. Includes TCP, TLS, WebSocket, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, and an in-house QUIC implementation.

C++23 / Linux / Windows / networking / performance

Atria Sense

A wearable speech-to-text system combining an ESP32 device, an iOS app, and a Rust backend. I led the engineering work on the project, which won first place at a 36-hour hackathon.

ESP32 / Rust / Swift / BLE / speech recognition

Experiments & infrastructure

Small projects involving self-hosted services, local language models, embedded hardware, and developer tooling. Usually an excuse to learn a system more deeply.

Linux / AI / backend / systems
